European Recycling Conference 2023: special edition
Get ready for the exciting ERC 2023 happening in Brussels, the heart of the European Union!
This time, we're teaming up with DENUO, the Belgian waste management and recycling federation, to shine a spotlight on car recycling. Why? Well, the automotive industry is going through a major revolution. By 2035, which is practically tomorrow in terms of industrial value chains, combustion engine vehicles will be phased out and replaced by electric vehicles (EVs). This transition will have a significant impact on all the players involved, considering that the industry provides 12.6 million direct and indirect jobs in the EU. Recycling is no exception.
Cars are composed of various materials like steel, aluminum, plastics, critical materials, rubber, and textiles, among others. The revision of the ELV Directive into a Regulation is just the beginning! This move is expected to attract substantial investments needed to ensure that the EU maintains its leadership in car recycling.
At the ERC 2023, you can expect to hear from top-level speakers from both the industry and policy-making sphere. They will keep you updated on the latest economic and policy aspects resulting from these transformative changes. But wait, there's more to the ERC than just a conference.
This year, the ERC is placing a strong emphasis on networking opportunities. After the half-day conference, you'll have the chance to engage with fellow attendees during a networking walking dinner at De Warande, one of the most prestigious and exclusive venues in the heart of Brussels. Don't miss out on this fantastic event!
We invite Belgian delegates to directly register with Denuo.
