EuRIC reaction to the Net Zero Industry Act
The European Recycling Industries’ Confederation (EuRIC) is pleased to share the views of the recycling industry about the proposed Net Zero Industry Act[1] which was published on 16 March 2023.
EuRIC welcomes the publication of the proposal for a Regulation on establishing a framework of measures for strengthening Europe’s net-zero technology products manufacturing ecosystem (Net Zero Industry Act) and sees it as a step forward in terms of achieving the ambitious but necessary targets of EU Green Deal. EuRIC is particularly in alignment with the Commission's view on the fact that it is absolutely crucial to improve the investment environment for the Union’s manufacturing capacity of technologies that are key to meet the Union’s climate neutrality goals and ensure that our decarbonised energy system is resilient whilst contributing to reducing pollution, to the benefit of public health and planetary environmental wellbeing.
